It's Animal Crossing: New Horizons' One Year Anniversary. I'm disappointed by the content we received this year.

I'm sure to get a lot of hate for this post, but I really have to say that I expected so much more out of the updates to New Horizons. I bought it assuming that all the content 'cut' from New Leaf would eventually make its way back to New Horizons. The Police Station, Resetti's Station, The Roost. Was very happy to get the art gallery and diving, but I thought that would have been the tip of the iceberg. And what we did get in lieu of the content I mentioned, was just seasonal events. Events that honestly felt as though they were built into the game from the onset, and simply gated through patches solely to prevent time travelers from seeing them early. On the whole I just expected a ton more from this game, I honestly only play it once a day every couple months if that. And it's usually just to say hi to Zucker. It's really disappointing and I just wish they'd add some more engaging elements to keep me coming back. And feel free to cry entitled gamer all you want, but in a world where Fortnite and tons of other living games exist, I really don't think my expectations are too high. And saying they are honestly feels a bit like giving a free pass to Nintendo, as we all so often seem so wont to do. Selfish Soapboxing Edit: Also, I know it's silly to ask for something like this, but I really want to say that if New Horizons had something like a simplified Triple Triad, Gwent, or a DQ Casino(obviously toned down to not be so outright gambling), I think that'd add SO MUCH to the games' longevity. Playing cards or some kinda game with villagers would be so delightful and a great way to further showcase their personalities. I wanted more of a sense of living in my village.
