Hi /r/games! Happy to back back for another AMA ^^
For those of you who don't know us, we're a small indie studio working on narrative-first, hand-illustrated, indie horror games. Our first game, Scarlet Hollow, is a slow burn mystery with an emphasis on making difficult decisions with no right answers. Its vibe is often described as something like "Twin Peaks meets Gravity Falls and Life is Strange," which is probably a better mash up than I'd have been able to come up with on my own! It's in Early Access, and we just released Episode 4 of our planned 7.
We're also working on Slay the Princess a horror comedy romance that we've affectionately described as something like The Stanley Parable meets Call of Cthulhu.
Feel free to ask us about either project!
The folks that are here today to answer your questions:
I'm Tony Howard-Arias — I'm the co-creator and co-writer for both projects, and I also handle game design/coding as well as business and marketing.
I'm joined by my wife/co-creator and co-writer Abby Howard (u/abby722). On top of her writing, She also does all of the art for our games outside of animating Scarlet Hollow's cutscenes. Outside of this project, you might also know her from her exhaustive work in webcomics — she's the writer and artist behind The Last Halloween and Junior Scientist Power Hour, as well as the Ignatz-winning one woman horror anthology The Crossroads at Midnight.
We're also joined by our incredible, award-winning composer Brandon Boone (u/wondrous_sound) whose work you might recognize from The NoSleep Podcast and The White Vault.
We'll be back at 12pm EST to start answering questions, but in the meantime, ask us anything!
EDIT: Looks like we're all caught up! We'll keep an eye out for any questions that trickle in later, though! submitted by /u/mrogre43
