FACEMINER - Wristwork - A Biometric Data Harvesting & AI Training Management Sim (Set in 1999)

Steam Page Hi! Still pinning down exactly how to talk about this slightly bizarre game I have been working on, but here it goes: FACEMINER is an experimental, narrative-driven management sim where you build a biometric processing empire from scratch. You must classify dubiously sourced biometric data, upgrade mining infrastructure, and scale up your AI surveillance empire to obscene ends in this hardcore thriller clicker that may or may not be a critique of planetary-scale data harvesting and AI training operations. The trailer here probably gives a better idea than words can, but for a basic overview of what playing it is like: * Detailed simulation of data centre operations; manage RAM, processing power, memory, cooling systems, software upgrades and more. * Keep track of the office gossip — and reveal the story of FACEMINER — through the lively internal messaging system. * Visualise your data center in 3D with the state-of-the-art (for 1999) ‘Visualiser’ tool. * Set within a painstakingly crafted tribute to everybody’s favourite vintage operating system. * Soundtrack comprised of true-to-period MIDI, dug up and restored from the deepest recesses of the internet. The game is not yet released (thinking Q4 this year or Q1 of next year, to get it in really good shape before doing so), but a playable demo is coming very soon.
