Hi /r/Games! I am Alex Leone, the solo developer behind Upheaval. Upheaval is a text-based open world fantasy adventure roguelike inspired by Zork, Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, D&D and other fantasy tabletop RPGs, and Stardew Valley. Master the secrets of a changing world over many short playthroughs. Aid or disrupt encroaching factions, track down magical treasures, and take what you've learned into each new adventure. The world changes, with or without you. Upset the balance of power and the rewrite the fates of everyone you meet! Or, you know, don't. You can drink in the tavern, go fishing, ignore everyone, or just do your own thing. The choice is completely up to you. * Incredibly replayable: Each adventure takes 30-90 minutes to play. Play multiple times to discover more about the world and explore thousands of possible endings! * Explore a living world that changes around you, not a static adventure that waits for you. * Detailed maps so that you always know where you are in the world. * Mobile-friendly: Made to be easy to play on your phone (Android demo available, iOS coming). Play for a few minutes or a few hours. * No typing: Choice-based navigation means you always know what your options are in any situation, no need to guess. * Accessible: Lots of accessibility features.
